Our Curriculum Intent
At LGJS, we understand the importance of having a broad and balanced curriculum which builds on the knowledge, understanding and skills of all of our pupils from their varying starting points.
Our curriculum has been designed to incorporate all of the statutory requirements of the National Curriculum, as well as building in experiences which best meet the needs of our pupils and help to make the curriculum relevant and, most importantly, inspiring for our children. Our aim is to develop successful, confident, responsible and effective learners.
In order to achieve this, we aim to develop our children through the knowledge and commitment of our staff, the challenge and support for our children and working in partnership with our community.
We fully believe that every child has the right to the highest possible standards in their education as this will help them gain the knowledge they need to be successful in life.
Equality of opportunity is at the core of our beliefs and we ensure through our curriculum that our children are prepared for life in modern Britain and as a global citizen. To do this we teach our children to be positive, adventurous, creative, to persevere and work hard.
