Maths - Negative numbers


Refresh your memory of negative numbers by watching this video then try the game below.


Use a number line to help you count up and through the negative numbers to positive numbers. Remember that the two blocks below add up to the block above e.g in the picture below 3 + 5 = 8 and -7 + 4 = - 3 and -16 + 9= -7.

Pick 5 Common Exception words from the Year 5/6 spelling list. You can then create a mnemonic (meaning of this word is: soma very short poem or a special word used to help a person remember something) 

e.g. Rhythm Has Your Two Hips Moving = RHYTHM
