Meet the Pastoral Team

We are very proud of the pastoral support we provide for all the pupils in our care. Staff and pupils love working together and if you spend time in our school you will notice the smiles and warm friendly conversations that take place between all children and adults.

In addition to this we have a dedicated, equipped team ready to help and encourage pupils and families who wish to discuss any problems, request extra support or to have some private time. This can range from friendship issues, attendance, family breakdowns, bereavements or any emotional difficulties that arise during the course of the year.

Mrs Phillips is our Learning Mentor and supports children during the school week. She uses a variety of approaches to benefit the children; Zentangle, making memory boxes and providing a listening ear to name but a few.

Tim Atkins (known to the children as Tim) is employed from Synergy Education Support Services to further enhance our pastoral team. Tim has years of experience working with children to support their social and emotional needs.  As part of Tim’s role, he delivers a Sports Value course with all Year 6 and supports pupils both 1:1 and as part of small groups around issues such as behaviour, decision making and anger management.
